Coming DownComing Down by seductiveriot
Take me to the mall and buy me lots of pretty clothes
Take me to a wayside station and steal all my bones
Take me to a garden and pick me several flowers
Take me to my grave, and bury my soul
The world wont cry once we turn our faces
The world will not care if we do it our way
Interlock our fingers and pray for the last time
Take our bodies to a destination we paid for
When does the world stop spinning?
And the jokes stop being so funny
And when does the music stop moving our decisions
When do we realize we're sick of our friends?
When do we pull our own mental trigger?
Who will hold ours hands when our faces are in the gutter
Purging our hearts of the waste we use to kill them
It felt good for about an hour
But now our make up is melted
Our clothes are strewn
We're naked in front of our old walls again
Will you laugh
Will you sob
Will you smile
Or will you die
Throw yourself at the first idea
The first murmur of release
Euphoria does not love you anymore
Her time with you is up
Miranda Leiggi is a college graduate from Drew University with a BA in Theater. She spends her free time drawing, painting, reading comics, and creating general mayhem. Every October you can catch her at Midnight Productions Haunted House in Bucks County PA—though be careful, she does bite. Miranda designs costumes, sets, tattoos, and graphic art, along with continuously working to perfect her special effects make up. She has done various make up related training drills with the FBI and Madison New Jersey’s SWAT team. She’s loved every minute of it.|
Miranda is currently working on her own horror comic and other graphic novels.
